The Story So Far ...

Hello and thanks for finding me here. This blog is a little bit of everything; I post about my books, about my writing in general, my musings about history, education, language - and I also love to interview other writers - of all genres.

I am fortunate to live in a beautiful part of the world, the English Lake District, although I've travelled a great deal, my father having served in the forces. I have three wonderful children, all grown up and left home. I'm a history graduate, and in my final year I concentrated on the Early Medieval period.

I knew I wanted to write novels set in this time, but I don't just write Anglo-Saxon novels. (Find out more about them on my Website

Whilst I continue to work part time as a freelance Early Years music and singing teacher, I am proud of my writing achievements to date:

When I'm not writing, or blogging, or editing, or teaching, I serve my cat, Smog, go walking with my husband, go for cycle rides, and lift weights/kickbox. And listen to music - loud, loud music.
